O filme “Nomadland“, de Chloé Zhao, voltou a reinar nesta época dos prémios, conquistando os prémios de melhor filme, realização, argumento e direcção de fotografia.
Nas interpretações, Chadwick Boseman (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom) confirmou o favoritismo e venceu o prémio de melhor ator (drama), enquanto nas mulheres Carey Mulligan levou o prémio para casa pela sua prestação em “Promising Young Woman“. Nos secundários, Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm) e Daniel Kaluuya (Judas and the Black Messiah) saíram vencedores.
Passando para a TV, “A Rainha“dominou em drama, “Ted Lasso” nas comédias, enquanto “Gambito de Dama” foi a melhor série limitada.
