Numa cerimónia que decorreu sem grandes surpresas, o filme “Everything Everywhere All at Once” dominou a entrega dos prémios da 95ª edição dos Oscars.
Com 11 indicações, o filme levou para casa sete estatuetas, incluindo Melhor Filme, Melhor Realizador (Daniel Kwan e Daniel Scheinert), Melhor Atriz (Michelle Yeoh), Melhor Ator Secundário (Ke Huy Quan) e Melhor Atriz Secundária (Jamie Lee Curtis). As distinções de Melhor Argumento Original e Melhor Montagem completaram o currículo de “Everything Everywhere All at Once“, numa noite onde Brendan Fraser, pela sua prestação em “The Whale“, foi considerado o Melhor Ator.
Também fortemente nomeado, com nove indicações, estavam “All Quiet on the Western Front” e “The Banshees of Inisherin”. Mas se o primeiro conquistou vários prémios (Filme Internacional; Fotografia; Cenografia; Banda-Sonora), a fita de Martin McDonagh saiu de mãos a abanar. Mas “The Banshees of Inisherin” não foi o único filme completamente ignorado nas premiações. “Elvis,” “The Fabelmans”, “Tár” e “Triangle of Sadness” também acabaram a noite com zero conquistas.
Noutros destaques, “Ice Merchants” do português João Gonzalez não conseguiu conquistar o prémio de melhor curta-metragem de animação, estatueta que foi diretamente para a gigante Apple por “The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse“. Nas longas-metragens, “Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio” foi o vencedor.
Nos documentários, a CNN conquistou a estatueta por “Navalny”, enquanto nas curtas a vitória foi para “The Elephant Whisperers“.
Uma nota final para o triunfo de Ruth E. Carter na categoria de Melhor Guarda-Roupa (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), tornando-se assim a primeira mulher negra a conquistar por duas vezes o Oscar.
