Foram há momentos revelados os nomeados aos Emmys e Guerra dos Tronos lidera a corrida com um número recorde de nomeações: 32. Com este número, a série que terminou a sua jornada esta temporada acumulou 161 nomeações.
A segunda série com mais nomeações é a inevitável The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (20), sendo seguida por Chernobyl (19), Barry e Fosse/Verdon (ambos com 17) e When They See Us (16).
Nas estações/plataformas, volta a dominar a HBO, com 137 indicações contra 117 da Netflix. Vale a pena referir que a HBO reinou durante 17 anos no número de nomeações até ao ano passado, quando a Netflix a suplantou com 112 indicações contra 108. Em crescimento também esteve a Amazon, que passou de 22 nomeações em 2018 para 47 em 2019, e o AMC, que conseguiu 11 depois de no ano passado apenas ter alcançado 1.
Da gosto também ver surgirem séries nomeadas como Pose, Boneca Russa, Fleabag e a já citada Chernobyl.
