Era uma vez… em Hollywood – com três estatuetas – foi o filme mais premiado
Foram há instantes conhecidos os vencedores dos Globos de Ouro, numa cerimónia apresentada por Ricky Gervais onde não se esqueceram alguns dos temas mais quentes da atualidade, como a tensão entre os EUA e Irão, os incêndios na Austrália, as mudanças climáticas e o poder do voto nas próximas eleições norte-americanas.
No que toca a filmes, Era uma vez… em Hollywood e 1917 foram os grande vencedores da noite – ao serem considerados, respetivamente, melhor filme em comédia/musical e melhor filme em drama.
Para além do triunfo de 1917 na categoria de melhor filme (drama), as maiores surpresas vieram na realização, com Sam Mendes (1917) a levar a melhor sobre Martin Scorsese (O Irlandês), Bong Joon Ho (Parasitas), Todd Phillips (Joker) e Quentin Tarantino (Era uma vez… em Hollywood).
Tarantino e Bong Joon Ho não ficaram, porém, de mãos a abanar, já que o primeiro – para além de ver Brad Pitt triunfar – ganhou o prémio de melhor argumento; enquanto o sul-coreano viu o seu Parasitas ser considerado o melhor filme estrangeiro. Nos agradecimentos, Bong Joon Ho frisou que quando os norte-americanos ultrapassarem “o problema” de ver filmes legendados, terão acesso a muito mais obras de qualidade.

Nas interpretações, Joaquin Phoenix (Joker) e Renee Zellweger (Judy) foram melhor ator e melhor atriz na categoria de drama, enquanto na comédia foram Awkwafina (The Farewell) e Taron Egerton (Rocketman) a triunfar. Já nos atores secundários, Brad Pitt (Era uma vez… em Hollywood) e Laura Dern (Marriage Story) foram os distinguidos.
Também houve surpresa na categoria de melhor filme de animação, com Missing Link – da Laika e Annapurna – a bater a forte concorrência da Disney (Rei Leão, Toy Story 4, Frozen 2).
De notar que, na secção cinema, apenas Laura Dern deu um prémio a uma plataforma de streaming, neste caso à Netflix, que liderava as nomeações aos Globos de Ouro (34), mas saiu da cerimónia apenas com dois prémios.
Passando para a TV, Succession levou a melhor nos dramas (melhor série, melhor ator), enquanto nas comédias destacou-se Fleabag (melhor série, melhor atriz). Nas minisséries ou telefilmes, Chernobyl levou a melhor e viu ainda Stellan Skarsgård ser considerado o melhor ator secundário.
Fechadas as contas na TV, a HBO foi a estação/plataforma mais premiada, com 4 prémios, sendo seguida pela Amazon e Hulu com 2. Showtime, Netflix e FX ficaram com um prémio.
A cerimónia dos Globos de Ouro ficou ainda marcada pela homenagem a Ellen DeGeneres, que levou para casa o prémio Carol Burnett, pela sua carreira na TV e impacto na indústria, enquanto no cinema o distinguido com o Prémio Cecil B. DeMille foi Tom Hanks.
