Foram divulgados os nomeados aos Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards), os prémios anuais entregues pela Guilda/Sindicato dos Atores norte-americanos e que normalmente costuma funcionar como um bom indicador na corrida os Oscars.
Um dos primeiros realces a fazer é a dupla nomeação do falecido ator Chadwick Boseman, que concorre à categoria de melhor ator por “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” e a melhor ator secundário por “Da 5 Bloods“. Como os dois filmes estão nomeados ainda na categoria de melhor elenco, Boseman pode – postumamente – ser consagrado por três vezes. Também com duas nomeações encontramos Olivia Colman, nomeada em cinema como melhor atriz secundária por “The Father” e de melhor atriz em drama TV por “A Rainha“. Como esta série também está nomeada por melhor elenco (TV-Drama), a britânica pode também ser distinguida 3 vezes.
De resto, não há grandes surpresas nas nomeações, pelo menos depois de ontem terem sido divulgados os concorrentes aos Globos de Ouro. Jared Leto (“The Little Things”) volta a surgir nos nomeados, e Andra Day (The United States vs. Billie Holiday) perde a sua slot na categoria de melhor atriz para Amy Adams (“Hillbilly Elegy”). Nos atores, Steven Yeun (“Minari”) surge no lugar de Tahar Rahim (The Mauritanian), enquanto na secundárias surge agora Youn Yuh-Jung (“Minari”) em destaque, saíndo Jodie Foster (The Mauritanian).
A cerimónia de entrega dos prémios vai decorrer a 4 de abril.
