One Battle After Another (Batalha atrás de Batalha) foi o grande vencedor da 79.ª edição dos BAFTA, os prémios atribuídos pela British Academy of Film and Television Arts, a academia britânica de cinema e televisão. O filme de Paul Thomas Anderson conquistou seis prémios, incluindo Melhor Filme e Melhor Realização para Paul Thomas Anderson. A cerimónia, apresentada por Alan Cumming, ficou ainda marcada pelo triunfo de Sean Penn como Melhor Ator Secundário pelo mesmo filme.
Já Wunmi Mosaku arrecadou o prémio de Melhor Atriz Secundária por Sinners, obra de Ryan Coogler que conquistou três troféus, incluindo Argumento Original. Essas três distinções tornaram-no no filme realizado por um negro mais premiado de sempre.
A maior surpresa da noite foi a vitória de Robert Aramayo como Melhor Ator por I Swear, superando favoritos como Timothée Chalamet e Leonardo DiCaprio. Jessie Buckley conquistou o prémio de Melhor Atriz por Hamnet, que foi ainda considerado o Melhor Filme Britânico.
Noutros destaques, Sentimental Value tornou-se o primeiro filme norueguês a vencer um BAFTA, enquanto My Father’s Shadow foi distinguido como Melhor Estreia Britânica. Já Frankenstein destacou-se nas categorias técnicas.
