Com uma homenagem integral à cineasta polaca Agnieszka Holland, tributos a Abbas Kiarostami e Louis de Funès e um foco especial em Ildikó Enyedi (Hungria) e Alex van Warmerdam (Países Baixos) na secção Europe, Now!, dedicada ao cinema europeu contemporâneo e com retrospetivas abrangentes das suas filmografias, o Bergamo Film Meeting revelou o programa completo da sua 44.ª edição.
A Mostra Concorso apresenta sete longas-metragens em competição, incluindo L’étrangère, de Gaya Jiji, Les braises, de Thomas Kruithof, Skriti Ljudje, de Miha Hočevar, e Subsuelo, de Fernando Franco, enquanto a secção Visti da Vicino, dedicada ao cinema documental, reúne catorze títulos, entre eles Supernatural, de Ventura Durall, Vapeur, de Anush Hamzehian e Vittorio Mortarotti, e Days of Wonder, de Karin Pennanen.
O festival apresenta ainda programas especiais de animação pinscreen, além de secções paralelas como BFM+, Archive Film Festival Network e Kino Club.
O Bergamo Film Meeting decorre de 7 a 15 de março.
