There’s a new image online of «Re-Entry», the spin-off of Gareth Edwards «Monsters»
Directed by Ray Jay, «Re-Entry» follows Kathy, a British Genetic-engineer who goes to Sri Lanka and wants to enter the Infected Zone in search for alien specimens. She believes that with those specimens she can prove that all of this is part of a big cover operation by the US. The local government doesn’t allow her to enter the restricted area, but she goes in spite of that. Then she finds a local man, Gamunu, that does that for living. He is a monster slinger/guide that will help her on her quest.
On the image we can see Kathy (Kate Leinster) and Gamunu (Udana Fonseka). In a interview in May he told c7nema that « These two characters are very different individuals in almost every imaginable way. They are from different societies, cultures, different as to how they think. And they must come to common grounds to do one thing. They will be isolated, they will have to watch each other, be there for each other. Because of these reasons the chemistry between these two individuals will grow and embed in us. My story is about two people as well, so the cast is minimal again, it will have more tension, more thrilling with an analogous human expedition.»
Today, Ray Jay told us that the Sri Lanka shootings are over and that he is currently testing Visual Effects. Then he goes to New Zealand and Chicago, USA, to continue production.
