Foram hoje divulgados os vencedores dos British Independent Film Awards, também conhecidos como BIFA, destinados a premiar os melhores trabalhos independentes «made in Uk». «Broken» – que esta temporada era a obra mais nomeada- venceu o prémio mais apetecido (Melhor Filme), deixando para «Berberian Sound Studio» o estatuto de maior número de prémios arrecadados -entre eles o de Melhor Realizador (Peter Strickland) e Melhor Ator (Toby Jones).
Em outros destaques, realce para a vitória de «Sightseers» no argumento, de Andrea Riseborough na categoria de Melhor Atriz e a dupla premiação de «The Imposter» (Melhor Documentário e Melhor Realizador em Estreia).
