Foram divulgados os nomeados aos Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards), os prémios anuais entregues pela Guilda/Sindicato dos Atores norte-americanos e que normalmente costuma funcionar como um bom indicador na corrida os Oscars.
America Ferrera e Danai Gurira anunciaram os nomeados na categoria de cinema e TV, destacando-se as 4 nomeações de Bombshell. Para além de melhor elenco, o filme conta com nomeações a melhor atriz (Charlize Theron) e melhor atriz secundária (Nicole Kidman e Margot Robbie).
Com três nomeações encontramos Marriage Story (Adam Driver, Scarlett Johansson, Laura Dern), que estranhamente falha a nomeação a melhor elenco, O Irlandês (Joe Pesci, Al Pacino, e todo o elenco) e Era uma Vez…em Hollywood (Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, e todo o elenco).
Bombshell
Nos destaques individuais, Scarlett Johansson dá nas vistas com duas nomeações, melhor atriz (Marriage Story) e melhor atriz secundária (Jojo Rabbit), e nota-se a ausência de Robert De Niro, por O Irlandês.
Os vencedores das diversas categorias serão anunciados a 19 de janeiro.
