Os vencedores dos MTV Movie & TV Awards 2019
Foram anunciados esta madrugada os vencedores dos MTV Movie & TV Awards 2019, evento apresentado pela estrela de Shazam!, Zachary Levi, e exibido, na MTV Portugal, às duas da manhã da madrugada de 18 de junho.
RBG, Guerra dos Tronos e Vingadores: Endgame lideravam as nomeações este ano, com quatro cada, e os dois últimos ganharam os prémios mais apetecido, ou seja, foram respetivamente a melhor série e o melhor filme. Destaque para as novas categorias nas distinções -Reality Royalty, Most Meme-able Moment e Best Real-Life Hero (Melhor Herói da Vida Real, e o triunfo nos documentários de Surviving R. Kelly.
A cerimónia ficou ainda marcada pela presença de Dwayne The Rock Johnson, que num discurso inflamado criticou Hollywood e a forma como a indústria o tratou quando ele chegou: “Quando cheguei a Hollywood, eles não são sabiam o que fazer comigo. Quero dizer, eu era um lutador de wrestling meio negro, meio samoano, com 1,93 metros e 124 quilos. Vocês sabem; Foi-me dito, bem, você tem que ser de certa maneira. Tem que perder algum peso. Tem que ser alguém diferente. Precisa parar de se exercitar. Parar de fazer as coisas que ama. E tem que parar de se chamar de ‘The Rock’. (…) Durante anos, realmente comprei a mensagem, porque pensas: ‘Ah, é isso que devo fazer’. Mas estava infeliz a fazer isso. Então fiz uma escolha. E a escolha era que eu não me habituaria a Hollywood, Hollywood é que iria se habituar a mim. E Hollywood habituou-se e aqui estou eu com todos vocês a receber o Prémio Geração. “
