“Slumdog Millionaire” é o grande vencedor dos Oscars

Sem grandes surpresas, com excepção na categoria de Melhor Filme Estrangeiro, a cerimónia dos Oscars seguiu a tendência demonstrada pelos circulos de crítica e dos diversos sindicatos (realizadores, produtores, actores), premiando “Slumdog Millionaire” em quase todas as categorias em que estava nomeado – só perdeu na edição de Som.

Por outro lado, e se há derrotado a referir, esse é “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”, que apesar de levar para casa 3 estatuetas, perdeu nas outras 10 categorias em que estava nomeado. De qualquer maneira, e há que sublinhar, este foi o segundo filme com mais prémios na noite.

Realce ainda aos vencedores nas categorias de representação. Sean Penn levou a melhor sobre Mickey Rourke na categoria de Melhor Actor, Penélope Cruz venceu a categoria de Melhor Actriz Secundária (uma meia surpresa), Kate Winslet superou toda a concorrência na categoria de Melhor Actriz e, como era esperado, Heath Ledger recebeu um Oscar póstumo na categoria de Melhor Actor Secundário.

De resto, e como dissemos acima, o único “Ovni” nesta cerimónia foi mesmo na categoria de Melhor Filme Estrangeiro. O filme japonês “Departures” superou toda uma concorrência que à partida estaria em vantagem para esta cerimónia.
