Foram na noite passada escolhidos os vencedores dos Satellite Award, uma prémio atribuído anualmente pela International Press Academy (IPA).
No que toca a vencedores, há quatro nomes a reter. O primeiro é «Drive», filme dominante nos prémios, que para além da Melhor Realização (Nicolas Winding Refn) e Melhor Actor (Ryan Gosling) viu ainda Albert Broolks ser escolhido o Melhor Actor Secundário. Para além destes três prémios, o filme foi ainda galardoado por Melhor Som.
Outro dos vencedores foi «The Descendents», o mais recente filme de Alexander Payne. Com os triunfos na categoria de Melhor Filme e Melhor Argumento Adaptado, a obra continua a sua trajectória vencedora rumo à cerimónia dos Óscares, tendo como grande rival «O Artista», que nestes prémios apenas venceu a categoria de Melhor Direcção Artística.
Em outros prémios, destaque ainda para «Mistérios de Lisboa», último trabalho do falecido Raúl Ruiz e que triunfou na categoria de Melhor Filme Estrangeiro. Finalmente, uma última nota para a categoria de Melhor Documentário, secção onde o esquecido na nomeação aos Óscares «Senna» foi o escolhido.
