Quando se tem um orçamento acima dos 200 milhões de dólares, retirar de um filme uma sequência que custou 10 milhões não parece totalmente descabido. Mas se pensarmos no número de obras independente que este dinheiro serviria, e se ainda considerarmos o resultado final do filme em questão, então os valores ganham outra dimensão.
No mês passado a Warner Bros. lançou uma Antologia do Super-Homem em Blu-Ray, contendo mais de 8 discos e 20 horas de filmagens. Um dos filmes presentes nessa antologia era «Superman Returns», de Bryan Singer, e com ele surgia também uma sequência inicial alternativa.
Ora essa sequência custou a realizar cerca de 10 milhões, acabando por ser retirada da versão final da obra.
