O ‘Discurso Do Rei’ foi o grande vencedor da 83ª Edição dos Óscares, ao levar para casa os prémios de Melhor Filme, Melhor Realizador, Melhor Actor e Melhor Argumento Original. Apenas ‘Black Swan’, via Natalie Portman, se intrometeu nos vencedores das principais categorias.
De notar ainda o triunfo de ‘The Fighter’ nas categorias de actores secundários, premiando quer Christian Bale, quer Melissa Leo.
Destaque final para a vitória de ‘Toy Story 3’, no filme de animação, ‘Inside Job’, nos documentários, e ‘In a Better World’, na categoria de Melhor Filme Estrangeiro.
