O que também talvez surpreenda, mas não escandaliza, é a ausência de Christopher Nolan na categoria de Melhor Realização, quando quase se apostava que a quinta vaga ia ser disputada entre os irmãos Coen, por “True Grit”, e David O. Russel, por “The Fighter”. A entrada de Bardem na corrida ao Óscar de Melhor Actor é outra das novidades, tendo em conta os prémios entregues até agora.
De resto, nota positiva para “The King’s Speech’, com 12 nomeações, e a subida de ‘Winter’s Bone’ ao pódio dos 10 Melhores filmes, que desta vez conta também com um filme de animação (Toy Story 3).
Nos documentários surpreende a ausência de “Waiting for Superman”.
Quanto aos impactos que esta nomeação têm no mercado nacional da distribuição, não há grande dúvida que os principais filmes nomeados nas categorias principais estão no catálogo da Zon Lusomundo (“The King’s Speech’, “True Grit”, “Winter’s Bone”, “Toy Story”, ‘Blue Valentine’), tendo a Castelo Lopes vários trunfos na manga (‘The Kids are Allright’, “L’Illusionniste’’, ‘127 Hours’, ‘Biutiful’ e principalmente ‘Black Swan’). Com menos filmes nomeados, mas com mais hipóteses de ganhar ,temos a Columbia TriStar Warner (“The Social Network’, ‘The Town’ e ‘Inception’). Finalmente, e encontramos a Valentim de Carvalho com o seu trunfo na manga (‘The Fighter’).
