Breaking Bad foi, mais uma vez, o grande vencedor dos Emmy Awards, cerimónia que decorreu na noite de ontem (madrugada em Portugal) em Los Angeles. A série, que terminou no ano passado, venceu as principais categorias dramáticas (Melhor Série, Melhor Argumento, Melhor Ator, Melhor Ator Secundário), sendo apenas superada na categoria de Melhor Atriz (onde não concorria) e de realização (perdeu para True Detective).
Já no que diz respeito à comédia, Modern Family voltou a mostrar a sua força, sendo ainda de referir o triunfo de Jim Parsons, o Sheldon de Big Bang Theory, na categoria de Melhor Ator, e Julia Louis-Dreyfus, por Veep, na categoria de Melhor Atriz.
