O pontapé de saída para as diversas premiações que homenageiam o que melhor se fez no último ano foi dado, como de costume, pelas nomeações aos Gotham Independent Film Awards. Os nomeados para os Gotham Awards de 2018 foram selecionados por críticos de cinema, jornalistas, programadores de festivais e curadores de filmes.
“First Reformed” (No Coração da Escuridão) e The Favorite são os filmes mais indicados, com 3 nomeações. Recorde-se que no ano passado, Call Me By Your Name (Chama-me pelo teu nome) conquistou o prémio de melhor filme, sucedendo a Moonlight.
A cerimónia de entrega dos prémios desta 28ª edição dos Gotham Independent Film Awards decorrerá no próximo dia 26 de novembro.
